Anna Kendrick graces the cover of Manhattan magazine for the September 2012 issue. Here’s what the 26-year-old Pitch Perfect actress had to share: On moving to L.A. to focus on her film career at 18: “The first year in Los Angeles I was like, ‘What am I doing? Is this worth it?’ I could work as long as I could pay rent. I remember working with a girl who told me, ‘Don’t worry about the money—do what you love and the money will be there.’ There’s not really anything you can do to force it.â€� On avoiding the paparazzi: “Here, people are too cool for school, which is fine by me. When I go to more touristy areas, it’s a real bonus being the shorty (laughs). I’m friends with [True Blood actor] Joe Manganiello, and he’s so screwed. He sticks out like a sore thumb.â€� On being a comedic actress: “It’s not that I’m trying to be funny.
