Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax kept its momentum at the box office this weekend, holding on to the top spot again with $39.1 million. Second place this week went to Taylor Kitsch‘s action adventure flick John Carter, which took in $30.6 million in its opening weekend. The movie is about a Civil War veteran who is sent to Mars and has to save a princess from the barbaric creatures who live there. Project X slipped to third this weekend with $11.5 million, followed by Elizabeth Olsen‘s Silent House, which brought in just over $7 million. Fifth place went to Act of Valor, which took in $7 million this weekend.
