PHOTOS: Check out the latest pics of Eva Mendes “This experience has profoundly affected me,” Eva recently told People about a trip to Sierra Leone. “I was so shocked and saddened to learn the extent of gender-based violence taking place in Sierra Leone every day and that trip has made me want to be a part of the solution.” Eva recently had a television special, Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide, air where she spoke to survivors about the violence in order to raise awareness.
