Amy Poehler Talks Smart Girls At The Party: 'Listen To Yourself First'

Amy Poehler brings her cutie pie sons to a costume party on Saturday (October 20) in Beverly Hills, Calif. The 41-year-old actress carried her older son Archie, who was dressed as Batman, while Abel was dressed as a fireman! Amy‘s website, Smart Girls at the Party, gives advice to young girls with questions in her segments titled “Ask Amy”. “The Internet can be a really tough place for a young girl to see images and hear messages that aren’t helpful to her,” Amy told ABC News. “When we started Smart Girls at the Party — the site and now the channel on YouTube…we just wanted to do something fun. We wanted to do almost something that was an answer or an antidote to a lot of the programming that we see on the Internet for young girls.” She also offered advice that she would give herself at age 13: “That thing that you know about yourself, the real core of who you are is there.
