It was an evening full of great music and fun performances at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards held at Staples Center on Thursday (September 6) in Los Angeles. The big winner of the evening was One Direction, who went home with three awards – Best Pop Video, Best New Artist, and Best Share-Worthy Video for “What Makes You Beautiful”. Rihanna went home with Video of the Year for her song “We Found Love,” Chris Brown won Male Video, and Nicki Minaj won Best Female Video.
