Emilia Clarke gets into character as Daenerys Targaryen on the cover of Entertainment Weekly‘s latest issue. Co-stars Kit Harington and Peter Dinklage also got their own cover, while Lena Headey and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau posed on a separate one. And we felt like if we didn’t see the most important battle of this entire war onscreen, we’re going to shortchange viewers,” showrunner David Benioff told the mag. “To my knowledge, a story of this scale has never been told within filmed entertainment,†added co-creator Dan Weiss. “There’s so many characters and locations and storylines, so many things that are atypical in television – and for good reason.
